So for those of you who have read my blog in the past, you know that I don't post a lot of pictures because I don't have always good internet access to do so. So now while I have internet at the house I'm having camera issues, for those of you who read the last post I do have a new tablet, but I never seem to connect my tablet to the computer to upload photos, so when I use my tablet I'm using of free wifi. So here's what I have decided when I have my tablet and I take a few pictures I may just upload them to the blog without any text all or if I have time I might add a little text, or if I think about my have something to say and get it set up beforehand I can use this dictation program. Although it doesn't work as well as the one on my computer, as long as I talk fast and speak to the point it doesn't do too bad. I really think it just going to take some getting use to. So if you just see some pictures with no text that's just me trying to say I'm still out here and I'm still doing stuff but I don't have the time that I use to have. So until later. Happy Spinning and Fibering, Kevin
I realize I been away for awhile , but I just thought I'd post a picture of a few things I've been working on. I am also attempting to use a new app on my tablet post to the blog, so we will see how it goes. As well as seeing how this dictation program works on the tablet I'm not sure if I like it or not.
So Hey there everyone I just wanted to show some fibers that I plan to have at my next festival. It's just around the corner and I thought that I should remind any readers so they can come and stop by. For more Info on the festival see the website at sisaw.weebly.com
I can't wait, I always have a blast. I'm sure you will too. Till later, Happy spinning, weaving, and whatever fiber craft you enjoy. So hey there all, Today I'm posting some photos of a project that my mother has made, she has been having a blast making some pigs in sheep's clothing. I think some of my fiber crating has been rubbing off on her, yea! So here is some pigs for your inspiration!! Little miss Trigg Pig Raggedy Ann Piggy Gone Fishing... Mr. Bookworm Pig Latin
Yesterday while I was waiting for my dye pots to cook I decided to have some fun making some art batts, I don't know how long it's been since I have made any. I actually think it may have been about a year ago, sad but true. I mean don't get me wrong I have used my carder but most of the time it was just for processing fleece or making tweed fibers/yarns. I was having so much trouble just getting the colors right, partly because my stock is low, but mostly because I have not done this in so long. Anyway I hope they inspire you, I know I had a great time making them.
I wanted to show off my newest spinning wheel ! Last year I found a great deal on a new maple Matchless from the Schacht Spindle Company, and well I just had to get her. Hmn why is it that I usually refer to spinning wheels as "she", but I never wanted to name "her"? In fact it always seemed a bit silly to me, I guess I just think of the model as the name. Back to other things, So I had a bit of time today to create... what do you think I decided to do? I had a dye day, below is a picture of some of the things I dyed today. On a side note, is anyone out there sick of cold weather like I am? I know I like warm wooly things, but I am Sick of cold weather. Watch though I'll bet I will be the first person to complain it is too hot. Oh well, Later all.
