One of the things was about the Southern Illinois Spinners and Weavers (SISAW for short) Fiber Fair that is coming up on May 12 at Fort Massac from 10am to 4 pm. Hopefully there will be no flooding this year, (last year it was canceled due to flooding). I plan to be setting up there this year, hopefully.
As I have done too many projects since I blogged last (not that I have finished that many) I don’t think I’ll even try to remember the things that have worked on, just what I’m working on now. At the moment I just took off the loom a woven scarf that is all handspun, the warp is a brown 2-ply and the weft is a grayish singles but I still need the finish the fringe and wash it. And I’m working on trying to make as many batts for the fiber fair, as well as a dozen or more other projects as well. I also just started a set of yellow and white hand towels that I am quite excited about too!
Since I don’t think that I’ll have a chance to write for a while I better mention that I plan to go the middle Tennessee fiber festival (I think that’s what they call it anyway ) in Dickson, TN on the Saturday of the fest (the 27th ?) their website is - tnfiberfestival.com
So here is some photos of the projects that I am working on.
