Well it’s been a while since I have written but not a whole lot to say, I went to the Dickson TN fiber festival I did a fair amount of shopping, things that I can remember that I bought of the top of my head.  I picked up my order from Sandy’s Palate-some hand dyed BFL and also bought some baby camel down and a bit of dye from her.  I got some picked sari silk from Deer Trace Farms, and some nice dyed Romney locks from I think Marsh Meadow Farms. I had to get some unicorn power scour so I found some from Ozark carding mill and while I was there I found some nice pin drafted roving that was a mill end lot (and what do you know it was Romney too) that I had to have.   Oh yes a Jacob fleece, and I had to pick up a copy of The Fleece and Fiber Sourcebook from Susan’s Fiber Shop and my mother and I got 2 of the blue butterfly peg looms from Susan as well. I also bought 1 lb. of a cvm/romadale  fleece that is a gray color I think from…hmmn I’m not sure who it was.  A dyed silk hankie and a couple of other things from Stephanie at   Lunabud Knits, and from Brenda (I think)at  Wooden spinner I bought some locks from a Wesleydale cross.  I think that’s about it from the things that I bought at the festival.

I think I mentioned that I have been listening to a lot of podcasts lately, but if I didn’t well I have been , one of these days I’ll have to do a list of some of the podcasts I listen to but not today.  Anyway  one oft the podcasts that I listen to has a challenge called a SPALKAL (think that’s how to spell it ) anyway it stands for SPin ALong Knit ALong , what you are doing is spinning enough yarn to knit a sweater and knitting it. So I don’t know what will come of it but I think I am going to semi follow along with everyone else and try to tackle a handspun sweater, hopefully.  (on a side note does anyone know what podcast I’m talking about here)

While I don’t have any photos yet……I may have time to take a few but one never knows the way I am

Till later

Ps I never did get around to taking any photos but I’m going to post this anyway
